I know about greasing the contacts, and raising the vent hoses, but how do I seal the pull starter assembly? Can I get by w/ covering the drain holes or does it need to come off??

Highlifter is more of a deep water/mud oriented forum, and there are often discussions about that issue.

Some folks silicone the drain hole and the handle of the pull starter, but they also make a pull starter block off thing to replace the pull starter assembly.

The block off thing would probably be more reliably water tight, but using RVT or whatever on the handle and drain hole would still let you use the pull starter if you had to (and then reseal it).
