Default Question for Foreman/Rubicon Owners

I've noticed the Foreman engine shows 475cc while the Rubicon is showing 499cc.

Can you tell a difference in power between these two machines on the trail?

Default Question for Foreman/Rubicon Owners

There are other differences as well, in that the Foreman is an air/oil cooled 2 valve motor, and the Rubicon is a 4 valve liquid cooled engine.

I have a Foreman, and often get to ride a Rubicon. Seat of the pants I really don't think there's much difference in power or speed, but we've never tried racing them.

Both are more low end torque kind of engines.

I guess if you are considering one or the other, if you like a foot shift and find shifting part of the fun then get the simpler and cheaper Foreman. If you prefer an automatic get the Rubicon. The Rubicon can also emulate a geared transmission with a mode that lets you select between preset ratios via push buttons.

Default Question for Foreman/Rubicon Owners

The Rubicon is a liquid cooled cooled,4 valve while the Foreman is air/oil cooled, two valve motor, they may also have a different compression ratio but I,m not sure.

I think the Rubicon is rated at 30 HP while the foreman is 27HP.
