2006 HondaTRX 400ex -- Something wrong in driveline?
Borrowed a TRX 400 (2wd) from my friend. We were using it to pull *light* limbs around our house. I was pulling one of the limbs, in low gear, and the wheels started to spin a little so I put in the clutch and let down to idle. When I went to go again there were no gears. You can't tell whether the clutch is not engaging, but the shifter pedal doesnt engage any gears.
Any tests I can do to see if its the clutch, shifter, or rear end?
Any ideas on what to do?
I do not have a manual for it.
Thanks,
dothedeww

No. It wont change gears at all. Its like its stuck in nuetral, you can push it around freely now. When you press the shifter its just hard, just like when the clutch is not engaged. When you engage the clutch, the shifter is still hard. When you used to engage the clutch, the shifter would be softer and grab gears.
Does this sound like just the clutch bad?
Or how can I test this/how do I fix it?

no because regardless of if your clutch is bad,you can still change the gears, its just hard and it grinds them. and clutches dont just go out all of a sudden, mostly you feel it slip for a while before the friction plates give out.really sounds like your shift fork bent or broke, you have 3 in your tranny. have to take your tranny cover off and start digging around bro,not really any tests. if you crank it up and engage the clutch and wont change gears with or without the clutch,no doubt your gonna have to change the shift forks or maybe the shift drum. your the first person ive ever heard of trying to pull something with an ex,lol.
