I am in the process of working on a 86 200sx and have a question about the lights. Right now I do not have a battery in it, when I start the bike and put on the lights they work fine. When I rev the engine they go very dim. Is this because of no battery or a different electrical problem? Thanks

 

It is probably because of no battery, just running off the altinator. Try it with the battery and it should work fine.
