Default 2000 Foreman 400

I bought this foreman few months ago but just now able to ride it. I went riding few miles up the road then all of a sudden lost power and exhaust sound changed. There is no exhaust coming out the back just like air pushing out but can not feel the air just the sound of almost wind blowing.. only able to do drive about 15mph for short time then starts runny very hot and have to wait until cooled down to keep driving back. You can down shift and the normal sounds and exhaust comes out but once that is over its almost likes its seals itself up. plex help on some tips to try.. I have not done anything to it yet.. All advice ill take.

sounds like it jumped time due to stretched timing chain

you have to check timing marks under timing plug and check cam alignment on top of engine and with a rod make sure piston is at tdc. its a pushrod engine so its very easy to rebuild top end but difficult when workin on timing
