I just had 2 go to the honda dealership 2 get a new chain and sprockets for my 200sx, while there I asked the guy who was talking 2 me, about my front brakes and told him how the master cylinder was messed up and he went outside and got the whole assembly off of a old street bike and told me it would work I just had to bleed the brakes. I installed it but didnt have time to bleed them and they wouldnt work, so I was going 2 wait until the next day to bleed them. The next day when I checked on it I had front brakes, they work just not as good as I would like. Is it possible they bled themselves? How do I bleed them?

well dude if you wanted more replies you would have said brake trouble not just 200sx cuz all hydraulic drums work the same.yes my brakes bleed themselves.it happens when you don't get the cap on tight enough but not too loose

yes, the air will travel to the top...but to get all air out bleed them as follows: Fill resivor, apply brake and dont let it go while you open the bleed vavle on the brake drum. The handel will go to the bar but dont let it go until you close the vavle on the drum. Once closed let the handel go and pump the up again and fill with more brake fluid every 2-3 times you open the bottom valve. Just repeat as many times as needed to get the air out. (usally 3-8 times)

No...to make my brakes have any friction I have to pump the brake lever at least 10 times before the brakes come on. When I let the lever go there is no pressure when I put the lever back in so I have to re-pump it 10 times.

I think the Piston inside the resivoir is seized or jamed somehow.
