ok, rear yoke broke and bent the final shaft in rear. replaced everything and rear works fine. Now the front end makes a funny noise in the front diff. i took it apart and everything looked good. it makes a grinding noise, louder when around 5-7mph. when i turn the steering it stops. straight then starts again. when the yoke broke i was in 2wd. if any clues or suggestions please respond. thanks Hoy

 

Messed up splines on front drive shaft?

 

splines look good. i took all that apart last night. the noise is the cam link inside the front diff. i took the guts out of the diff and turned it in my hands and it makes the same noise. it dosen't make noise until i install the front shafts into the diff. i'm going to get hot drain the diff fluid. then try lucas limited slip oil and see if it quits.
