Toe spec on Honda utilities is to be measured at the tire tread, and 7/16" is the spec for Rincons. Since the frame and engine prevent a person from running a tape from the back of one front tire to the other, you need something of fixed width that can fit up under the quad.

Either an alignment gauge (rod with two adjustable pointers), or you can take two builder's squares and C clamp the long sides together, so the short ends stick up, about the width of the center of the tires.

Slide that under the quad, and tip it up so the short ends rest on the backs of the tires (or put your alignment gauge in that position). Take a pen and mark the tires at that width.

Remove the gauge, roll the quad forward so the marks are now on the fronts of the tires, set your gauge on the ground with legs up on the fronts of the tires and measure the difference.

If it needs adjustment, adjust both tie rods the same amount, so as to keep the handlebar straight while the quad is going straight.

Also, when you tighten the lock nuts on the tie rod ends, set them so that the tie rod can roatate when both nuts are tight.

Welcome to the forum.

JeffinTD, you put that into words very well. That would have been hard for me to explain.
