Default Honda recon issue

so recently let my brother took my atv out and now when i get it back it wont go up any sort of incline. It will run through all the gears just fine on flat land but when i try to go up a 4 foot hill it stalls in the middle it sounds like its bogging out real bad. I looked at the air filter there was nothing in the box and the filter is clean, the gas is fresh so there is no water in it, i changed the plug so its not that, now im lost. its not smoking but it sounds like it back fires when it slows down or when i shift down. my brother said he had it in a creek and was doing donuts on a slate bottom, from what this sounds like is the top end blown on my atv or does anyone have any idea on how to fix this issue.

More than likely a few beads of water in the botom of the carb bowl. Drain it an squirt a little carb cleaner thru the drain hole under the screw.
