Default Honda Rear End Questions

I just put on new brake shoes, bearings, and seal kit trx 300 . The bearing was completely gone. I put it all back together and everything is great. I then read a post about putting grease on the seals and inside the brakes where the pads are. I installed everything but used no grease anywhere. Do I take all apart and grease? If so where should I grease and what type of grease?
thanks

do a search for trx rear brake problems. I found it on this site and it shows you what to grease. I say yes take it all apart again and use water proof grease.

Well, I see nothing wrong with using no grease, the barring gets rearend grease, and the brakeshoes wont hold with grease on them..As for the seal.. Grease couldent hurt it, but generally it will get grease from the rearend. (The brakes and everything on mine were COVERED)

If you found the diagram I was talking about it will show you where to put the grease....
Yes Honda recomends grease on the seals.

The grease is there to keep out water... water will wipe out the brakes, berings, seals and cost you more in the long run....
