okay its a 2001 400ex and it started smoking pretty bad so i tore it down and replaced the rings and now it runs great but it starts smoking after it gets warm just like it was doing before.do you think the valve seals would cause this problem? it has a yoshi pipe so should i change the valve gaps or can they stay oem specs? it has a loud tick is why im asking??

 

i had a 01 400ex and it made that noise if the valves are set right than its the cam chain if you didnt do the steps rite when u took it apart and put it back its loose. my tensioner broke on mine. and yea the valve lash is ok with that pipe

 

Was the piston/cylinder measured and cylinder measured for out of round ..? ..
