I've got a one owner 1985 fourtrax 250 (trx250). my father bought it new. it ran real good until my brother in law decided it needed it carb adjusted. so now it starts and runs real good..........but after running just a bit and putting it into neutral the idle jumps up quite a bit.............how do I go about readjusting the carb......back to normal?

2nd.......it seems like the clutch slips just a little........I did notice that there seems to be an adjustment point under one of the black plastic covers on the right side of the engine......is there a way to adjust the clutch..........it gets rode real easy..........I hardly ever go over 3 mph.............believe it or not...........just fast enough so that my dogs can keep up.

Ok, on my automatic on my 200SX, on the right side case there is a nut with a screw through the middle of it. I loosten the locknut, then screw the screw in until resistance is felt, then unscrew it 1/4 turn and tighten the locknut. Hold the screw while tightening the nut so it stays put.
