Default Electric shift problem

I have an 04 Foreman 450 4x4 ES. I started it up yestday and it was working fine. I drove around for a minute and then put it in neutral. When I tried to shift back into first, it made an odd whining noise, almost like when you try to start a vehicle that's already started, only not as loud. At first, I was able to shift up but not down. It made the same noise when trying to shift down, only it wouldn't change gears.

I turned it off, then I got the manual shift tool out and shifted it down to neutral and restarted it. It did the same thing; I was able to shift up into third but no further. So, I tried to shift back down with the tool, and now it's locked up and won't shift manually.

Anyone have any ideas what's wrong? I've never had any problems up until yesterday.

I also just noticed that the electronic gear indicator is flashing three times, pausing, flashing three times, etc.

You might unplug that angle sensor, clean it, put some dielectric grease in it and see if that works.

No, I can't use it at all right now. It's stuck in 4th gear, and I can't get it into neutral, even with the manual shift wrench.

This may be a stupid question, but where is the angle sensor?
