IMO Pro Taper and Renthal make the best bars out there.....some will prefer one of the other for personal reasons but they are both super high quality bars for reasonable prices......

Well if you stick with 7/8" bars with a good rise, you can probably fit your ignition under the cross bar.....

I have Pro Taper SE (7/8") bars on my z400, and I was able to fit the stock ignition right under the cross bar.... I had to trim and modify the plastic housing, cut it to size, but I was able to leave the mounting tabs in tact and fit it underneath. The only difference you notice from stock is that the ignition is at a different angle, it points back to the rider as opposed to facing up to the sky.......Really a small concession to having to mount it somewhere in the plastic.

I have gone with TAG METALS in recent years.

Best thing to do is take your stock bars off, and go down to a dealer and compare the bend to bars they have in stock. Or, you can select a different bend in you wish....
