New rancher rider
#11
im not tryin to make some huge mud monster with tires that only make it turn if you have an acre to do so. i bought the rancher for a specific reason that it had the features i wanted and a 400cc engine is plenty big enough to do what i want which is make it into a dual purpose all around machine. it has to be functional for the deer lease, fun on the trails, and cross the mud which is very common down here in texas. thanx for the replys i think im gonna leave the suspension alone and maybe get some 26 in lighter tires after these wear out and that should be just right for me. love the machine though lots of power very responsive and not a 1000 pound beast as big as a jeep(can-am, polaris, arctic cat etc...). but hey i still love to ride my 1985 honda big red 250(best machine ever and will never die) lol

Don't bother with a lift kit - they ruin the handling
Spacers are rarely needed - they too spoil the handling, better to use your body to move around -- it works the same as spacers on handling
Do follow Reconrangers break in link - good advice
25" are ok - but the machine runs sweeter on stock
I prefer slightly wider at the rear and near stock at front
