Default Rear brakes?

Trying to change the brakes on my 93 trx 300. Finally got the drum cover off, but can't get the drum loose. Does anyone have any idea how to remove it? Also, do I need to remove the hub to get the cover and drum completely off?

Thank you

I don't know if anyone ever helped you with this or if you're all set but- there's an inspection hole in the drum. if you remove the plug, look in the hole for the adjuster screw... when you see this, you can use a flathead screw driver to turn it and release the shoes from the drum. Then the drum should pop right off.

Dunno if its the same with the 300, but on my foreman there are 2 wing nuts adjusters on the brake cables at the rear drum, one for the handle bar brake, one for the foot brake. When I take my drum off, I have to make sure both of these are as slack (screwed out) all the way then it comes off with little trouble.

It's the same on the 300fw- but sometimes it's so worn out that the only way to remove the drum is to back off the shoes, just like in an old car with drums. I've seen a lot of people busting up their drums whacking it with a hammer to get it off, when all the have to do is back-off the auto-adjuster a little and the drum usually will fall right off-
