suggestions for a new quad

moto 134 you have a 400 ex, my outty will crush it in everything, and if we went on a trail together it would be your sport quad that wouldnt make it home in one piece because your suspension wont be able to take the beating. i need 4 wheel drive because i dont avoid or turn away from mud

ReconRanger, you may be able to go faster than my utility, but who's gonna be stuck in a mud hole? That's right you.
Now, back on subject. If you're gonna be riding where you know you are never gonna need 4wd, then get a sport, but if you need something that can handle anything, I'd get a utility, I haven't found anything yet that my Foreman can't handle, like mud, rocks, snow, etc. to the sporty side like drifting, jumps, wheelies, etc.

what all of this comes down to is east and west coast. east is better for 4x4 and irs atvs and the west has lots of dunes and more open areas to ride in. I live in Michigan and the only real advantage of a sport is at the silverlake sand dunes everywhere else my 420 Rancher is plenty fast and can get through mor terrain than my 660r Raptor ever could

Its all about needs. The sales figures dont lie though - Utes outsell sporties for obvious reasons. Its NOT a knock on sport quads, its just that they have a much more limited usable range. No need to call anyone a sissy because they dont want to get soaked. You ever get really wet on a cold fall day while riding? It sucks. Something about frostbite or hypothermia....
