Rancher valves
#2
I suggest you take a look at your owners manual. They recommend changing the oil and filter, and having the valve clearance checked at 100 miles or 20 hours. If you've gone 400 miles without having it done and something does go wrong, I'll bet you have a heck of a time getting it covered under warranty. I don't know what a dealer would charge for the first service but I'd bet it's not over $75.00.

I took mine to the dealer after 120 miles it cost me $130.00. They adjusted the valves. It ran 54mph before I took it in and 49mph when I got it back.

I didn't have mine checked until i brought it in for the first recall. I had around 700 miles on it then. I figured while it was there i'd have them check the whole thing over and adjust my brakes. all in all cost me $35.
