honda foreman rebuild

Default honda foreman rebuild

why does my piston have to face a certain direction?

What year/model?

Is there "IN" stamped on one boss? If so, that faces intake.

It depends on the engine.
On some when the piston is fly cut the intake fly cut will be bigger the the exhaust and if you get it backwards the valve can wack the piston.
On a wedge chamber the quench side has to index into the head.
On some pistons the pin is offset on the piston.

These are some of the reasons I can think of.
