2006 rancher problem
#1
I have a 2006 Honda rancher I purchased new. It has run great up until yesterday, altough it was probably only run once in the past 4 months since I loaned it to someone over the summer. Here is what it does-when I took it out recently it work fine for a brief spin of 5 mintes-in the garage I noticed gas coming out of the bottom of the carb-didn't know that this was an overflow but remembered servce told me that the carb should be cleaned freq. so the float wouln't stick. Looked at the air cleaner and it was full of gas. I siphoned out the gas-put new gas in the tank and was going to try to do some jumps to unstick the float. It started but the engine surged and then lost power in any gear over and over-then died. Looked inside the airfilter and there is about 1/2 inch of gas-but it seems to be mixed with oil. Anyone have any ideas what I should do?

You could try running some Seafoam through the fuel system and maybe....just maybe it may help. Otherwise, it's time to pull the carb and clean it.
This stuff they pass along for gasoline these days is just junk in my opinion.
Try the Seafoam and then if that doesn't work, pull the carb. I run Seafoam in all of my atvs as well as my motorcycle and have no problems with the fuel systems.
