Default exaust baffle removal?

I have a 04 rancher 400 a/t and am thinking about removing the baffle from the exaust.
I am not seeing any screws or bolts on it, I have looked at microfich and it doesnt show anything either.... Formans have bolts holding in the baff. but I am not seeing anything on the rancher.
Any ideas how to remove without destroying the muffler. ????
Thanks.

ya just gotta cut the tip off, drill out the spot welds, drill or remove the baffles and weld it all back up

Thanks for the reply, that is about what I thought.
Think I will leave it alone unless there is a big power increase by doing this.
Thx.

there will NOT be even a small power increase, it will only be noisier, and it will sound really crappy...you won't impress your buddies with it at all.

Better to save your money and get an aftermarket pipe, air filter and bigger jet for the carb, and install them all at the same time. HMF makes a "Utility Series" exhaust that works really well (get the additional "quiet core" insert or it will be too loud) UNI makes a great performance air filter too. (K&N makes a great filter but it requires a LOT more maintenance) Larger main jets can be picked up cheap at the dealership if they aren't included in the exhaust system.

Ok guys, I am not "that guy" getting your trails closed down.... I dont like loud bikes either and will not do the mod.
I already have a dyno jet kit installed and am very happy with it. Also clipping the carb spring helped the bottom end power..
All my research is just trying to get more power from a underpowered bike.
