Default Best way to drain fuel tank on 04' TRX250 Recon?

Sorry for the dumb question as you guys have probably answered this before but I couldn't find it in the search section.

I haven't had time to even look at it or dig out the manual but it won't start and I know the gas has been in it for several months w/o being ridden. Battery is new, it turns over fast but won't fire.

Take off the plastic in the tank area, take the tank off and dump it out upside down. You will have to turn the valve off, and pull the hose off the valve first.

Before you pull the tank -- try opening the drain screw on the carb a turn or two - that is the very bottom screw on the carb facing OUT to you. Let a flow of gas onto the ground, then try firing it up.

But get that nasty old gas out of the tank first!

add Stabil to your fuel and it won't gum up the carb if you let it sit for a few months
