are wheel bearings covered under warranty?

2 year warranty in europe now.

5800 miles for bearings on dirt roads is ok.

Well, there you go...move to Europe!

The warranty covers from the date it is sold, so it would be possible for a 2006 to still be covered under a two year extended warranty if it wasn't sold until 2008.

If tire pressure are too high - that would eat the bearings too.

Move to europe??.... then you would have next to nowhere to ride!

bearings are wear items. so are piston rings, drive shafts tie rods,ect .....anything that moves they will consider it a wear item

i bought the extended warranty, an extra 42 months plus the 6 factory so 48 total, it was like $600 extra. and i didnt buy it till dec of 06 so its good till dec 10.
