Default Buying a left over 2009 420 at

I'm buying a left over 2009 420 at, actually the Canadian trail edition which comes with IRS, the dual clutch 5 speed auto and PS, the same as the US spec Rancher AT. The machne is actually a demo but only has 112 km on it and includes a second year of warranty free of charge. The owner of the dealership used it himself. I am upgrading the tires as part of the purchase, I told the dealer that I want Maxxis mud bug radials 26 x 9 x 12 fronts and 26 x 11 x 12 in the rear. He is throwing in a set of OEM aluminum Yamaha wheels no charge since the OE 420 wheels are a smaller diameter in the rear and harder to get tires for. I'm starting to think that perhaps I should only be going up one size (i.e. to 25s), I don't want to ruin the handling of the machine or worse yet run into a lack of power to turn the bigger tires sitiation. Anyone running 26s on a 420?

I prefer trail riding mostly but have some pretty rough terrain to cross to get to the trails from my house, my last machine was a 2003 Kodiak 450, I looked into getting a new one of those, they are a solid all around machine but Yamaha wants way too much money for them Compared to the Rancher AT.
