i just got a atv from someone and i want to get it registered i dont have paper work for it or anything like that so how would i do it? and how much dose it cost i live in california and the atv is from 1988

 

It depends on what state you live in and how old the quad is. If it is over 10 years old many states don't require a title. You would probably need a bill of sale. To find out what your state requires do an internet search with ________ atv registration. Fill in the blank with you state name and you should be able to find your state's department of motor vehicles.

 

I just did one in Long Beach,CA-- need a bill of sale--this is how much tax you will have to pay--Lower price the better for you-- The ATV if out of dmv records will need a vin check by the CHP. And a trip back to the DMV. I got the green stickers for 2 years for 70$ till june 2012-- tax payed on 250$ -- Good Luck
