Default Header woes.....

Hello all.. i have yet another problem... I changed out my exhaust... it does not seem to mate well with the engine... and i somehow crossthreaded on of the mounting bolts.... IT seems a bit loud from the front... like a leak... but i don't feel anything exhaust blowing... Does anyone thing it would be bad to weld the pipes to the engine... i'm not worried about later when or it i have to rebuild it... i'd deal with it then... but i want it so there are no leaks...

What's everyone thoughts???

Thanks...

It would be hard to weld a steel pipe to an aluminum block. Drill out the holes one size bigger, tap them and use a heli coil. Get a heli coil kit for the size header bolt that you have and have somebody with that kind of experince give you a hand. It will be stronger than what it was before it stripped.
