Default 2003 ds650 gas tank I don't think its OEM

Just bought it and I am getting all the problems fixed.
Tank does not use a tank cover. The front plastic screws right to the tank.
there is no vent hose on the tank.
Im afraid to buy a new stock cap as the tank doesn't match the OEM tank.
and of course the part that are no longer available from OEM are broken.( The front master and the head light) Header pipe has an o2 bung on it?

so the search goes on for correct fitting parts.

I have an 01 a got a couple months ago and the front plastic screws in to the gas tank (with a spacer) and the gas tank dosnt have a cover. As for the cap mine came with looked like it should have a hose but didn't and it leaked gas even with less than ½ a tank. I switched it for one from a 4x4 with a 8in hose and gas still leaks out the end so I keep it pinched..
Maybe the cap shouldn't have a hose?

Found out this is a 5 gallon aftermarket tank.I found out a Lt230 suzuki cap will work on this tank.It has a vent hose on the cap.
