250 2X4 is real slugish

It's about a 12mm nut on the lower front of the engine. You have to get in front of the quad and look at the engine. There's a slotted screw inside the nut.

ok so i adjusted it and it made a little difference but not too much

Ok, when you say sluggish, what exactly are you feeling? If you leave it in neutral and rev it up & down, does it react quickly? I'm basically trying to determine if you mean it's an engine problem or a transmission problem.

yeah when its in neutral and rev it it reacts quickly but when put in gear it seams so gutless untill u give it about half throttle

i think its the clutch myself but i may be wrong like i said im pretty new to the bike scene

Well, if it was beat, it could very well be the clutch. Wheelies will do that. Is the back of the rear cargo rack all scraped up? That's an indication of wheelies. Anyway, I think you can get a clutch from Rocky Mtn ATV for around $50 and it's not a bad job to do yourself.

ohhh yeah the racks are all scraped up pretty simple to change is it

ill have to take the front case off and the clutch is right there eh? i have to drain the oil first or no

Yeah, you'll have to drain the oil. I would HIGHLY recommend you get a service manual before doing it. Either a OEM Honda or a Clymer. OEM is better but a Clymer will work. You should get one anyway because there's lots of good stuff in it.
