Default DOT approved tires?

I am trying to street legal my TRX250 in AZ. Pretty easy actually, just need a motorcycle permit, lights(and brake lights), a mirror and a horn. The regs say nothing about tires, but every atv tire I see says; Not for highway use. The very few tires I do see approved are smooth, definitely street-only tires. I just want knobby street-legal tires for on or off-road use. Do any small trucks share the same bolt pattern(4-110mm), any help on this subject would be appreciated.

"Not for highway Use" is basically a way for the tire companies to cover their a%*.

That way you aren't going to put them on a small trailer, camper or for 14" tires; on a car and run 90mph down the highway. They won't stand the heat.

You will be alright with the tires you have.

Don't know where you are, but sounds like the same regs we have here in Wyoming and I run alot of highway and paved roads. Not too good on the tire wear factor, but out here if you want to get to point A or B,, sometimes that is the only way and like your area, "it is legal" if you meet the regs.
