How do I remove the OEM grips on my 99 Recon? Just loosten the nut on the end? I don't want to destroy them in the process.

Good luck. I removed mine and it was next to impossible to do so without destroying. You could try applying some heat.

Most likely you are going to have to destroy them. I had to take the grips off of my Rubicon and I had to cut them to get them off.

Are the grips any different from an other quad. To remove the grips off my polaris I used the air compressor and shot air under the inside lip of the grip. It sort of inflated the grip and it came right off. No damage what so ever. Installed my heated elements and installed the same grips back on the bars.
