Default so the dealer claims new hondas have 20% more power than others

just wondering if this was true. I see some logic in it because they dont use belts or chains. but 20% that sounds like bs

I ask because my local dealer is having a sale on new 2010 Honda Rancher 420 (trx420fe) and if this was true that would make it more like a 500cc

like I said before it sounds like bs to me but thought I would ask.

In the 4x4 market the Honda Rancher is one of the fastest quads in it class that is because of the style of tranny it has and due to it size and weight. 20% more power could not be farther from the truth!

The Rancher 420 foot shift is really snappy, and one of the fastest in it's displacement class. The powertrain is also more efficient than a CVT belt.

The 420 auto's dual clutch should be just as efficient, but it adds a lot of weight. Haven't ridden one of those yet.

Most of the rest of Honda's lineup is tuned more for midrange torque, and for long term dependability.

The Honda Transmission is the same as old style lever clutchless manual transmission we have had for min years where this one is a full electric shift system like a flappy-paddle gearbox or button shift gearbox which has two mod, full auto eps mod or manual shift mode.
And Honda Transmission more efficient than an cvt belt.
