If you haven't put a exhaust on you should. It will be the biggest gain for your $, then rejet. It will really wake the thing up.

Warning though. You lose bottom end power to gain top end speed. That means slower off the line. I can speak with experience that hill climbs on a piped EX are much less fun when geared higher sprocket.

DULY NOTED...iDONT DO TO MANY BIG HILL CLIMBS BUT WHEN iDO USUALLY GEAR IT INTO 2ND AND OFF iGO...THATS SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT IF ITS GONNA BOG IN 2ND OFF THE LINE iMAY JUST KEEP IT THE WAY IT IS AND WORK ON THE COSMETIC SIDE OF IT

My 400EX had 22" tires which is effectively the same as changing the front sprocket 1 tooth. When I dropped a tooth to compensate it was the best money I spent on the quad. No more unexpected stalling or bogging at the top of a hill or working through a creek. It's

WOULDNT THE SPROKET BE CHEAPER THAN A SET OF TIRES THOUGH? AND WITH MY QUAD iWANT PERFORMANCE BUT ALSO LOOKS,DONT WANT NON MATCHING TIRES..

I mean when I purchased mine I had 22" tires which makes it higher geared. I hated it and went with a smaller front sprocket to give less top end/more bottom end.
Sprockets are cheap and easy to install. For the price you could play with it to see what you like.
