The only way you are going to gain top speed is to change the gearing. Different sprockets. Bigger front/Smaller back.

If you haven't put a exhaust on you should. It will be the biggest gain for your $, then rejet. It will really wake the thing up.

Bigger front or smaller back. Go to motosport.com or denniskirk.com put in your quad info. Find what the stock tooth count is on yours (15? maybe) and find one a size bigger.

Warning though. You lose bottom end power to gain top end speed. That means slower off the line. I can speak with experience that hill climbs on a piped EX are much less fun when geared higher sprocket.

My 400EX had 22" tires which is effectively the same as changing the front sprocket 1 tooth. When I dropped a tooth to compensate it was the best money I spent on the quad. No more unexpected stalling or bogging at the top of a hill or working through a creek. It's

I mean when I purchased mine I had 22" tires which makes it higher geared. I hated it and went with a smaller front sprocket to give less top end/more bottom end.

Sprockets are cheap and easy to install. For the price you could play with it to see what you like.
