We currently have a 250 Recon which has been a completely reliable member in the family. The wife wants to put some new life into the old Recon. Does anyone know of any modifications that can be made to the Recon that will make it preform better? Thanks

 

You can do some basic upgrades but no where near the amount of mods that the bigger quads can. I have a UNI air filter, DG exhaust, # 97.5 main jet, and I cut the stock snorkel opening bigger and it turns 25" tires pretty good.

 

Pinetag, thanks for the advice. I open the airbox this weekend and realized there was gray milky stuff in the bottom of the airbox. I am sure at some point the wheeler was in the water. If i drain the oil will that pretty much solve the issue?
