Where do you have your winch switch mounted? Mine came from the dealer with the Warn winch control switch mounted to the left side of the front rack closest to me, but it's still quite a reach. I'm considering moving it to the left front fender, right above the warning placard.

I have mine mounted on the left front handle bar just inside of the brake lever. The wires run through a piece of black plastic wire tubing (available at Radio Shack, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.) for protection. The routing of the wire is along the existing cable runs. It looks good. If you'd like, send me an e-mail and I'll provide a picture for you.

I located my Warn winch switch on the left front fender behind the rack on the horizontal. That way it is slightly below the rack and items fastened there will not bump it. Leaning forward a bit will reach it easily, and you can also stand alongside the quad without bending down , if you don't like the idea of sitting there with a tightly stretched cable facing you.

On my Rancher i have it mounted on the right side of the handle bars as the left side is a bit crowded with the ES switch ect.. seems to work ok and is easy to reach sitting on the quad or standing next to it.

I chose to mount mine (Superwinch Rocker switch) under the LCD display. you can go to my yahoo site in my signature and see the pic.

It worked out great this winter while plowing, I could work it with my left hand while maintaining the throttle.

Thanks for the info and pictures. I'll have to give it some more thought, I'll probably just leave it where it is. I did relocate the solenoid today, it came from the dealer with the solenoid mounted to the left outside of the rear storage compartment. I drilled a hole for the wires to go through and mounted the solenoid inside the rear storage area. After I had everything hooked back up I siliconed the hole, should be way more "waterproof" in there. I know Warn recommends mounting the solenoid where it will stay somewhat dry. I'm not real sure how much moisture actually effects them, I've seen them mounted where they are constantly wet or muddy and have seen very few problems. Oh well, better safe than sorry. Thanks again for all the switch mounting ideas.
