Default 05 TRX250EX "Start in gear?"

Can you set-up an 05 trx250ex to start in gear like the suzuki does? The 05 does NOT have the sport clutch they went to that in 06.

thanks

I wish I could get mine to start in gear. That is the only thing I dont like about this quad. Can you ask him to see if it was something he did to it.

thanks

Well he bought it used from a guy that abused it and rode it pretty hard. the previous owner had that bike jimmy rigged up pretty bad. i dont recomend trying to make it start in gear because after my brother bought it and rode it for a couple of months, it would not shift out of neutral. He took it to our local cycle shop and they were going to charge him over a thousand dollars to fix it. I think the starting in gear feature that had been applied to the bike was the cause of the transmission flaw. If I was in your situation, I would leave it be.
