06 Rancher AT won't shift flashes code 6
#1
The bike had shifting issues, after installing a new Angle Sensor it won't shift out of low gear and reverse sputters like in a default mode. I found where Bowhunter20 had the same problem with his 04 Rancher but never I found his solution. In his post the service manual said to perform "initial settings" on the ECM. Is this what I need and if so how is it done. Thanks alot.

I cannot over stress the importance of water proofing ALL ele. connections....
If it has a plug please apply silicon grease to ALL ele. connections.
Jesus, I am starting to sound like reconrancher..... complaning about ele. shift ranchers...
They are not bad at all.. mine has a lot more wet miles than dry miles and still works great never replaced a angle sensor or any thing else.. now if i could just get some horse power out of it I would be tickeled pink.
2004 honda rancher 850 mi. close to 320 hrs do the math it has been in a lot of mud and water.... 27"vampires and dyno jet jets clipped carb. spring snorkeled and vented to the max. never died in water but has been towed and winched a bunch
