Default 2003 450 Foreman problem when in 4x4!

I bought my brothers 2003 450 foreman ES it has 2000 miles on it and it had sat for a year or so without being started. So I ended up having to clean the carb it didn't want to move because of the brakes being corroded from him playing in water. I got it up to the garage and changed the engine oil and front and rear diffs all with honda oils. I have rode the bike around to where the brakes arn't sticking and it is now rolls freely in 2wd. Now when I put it in 4x4 it starts to steer very hard and it kinda will try to jerk hard which ever way I cut the wheels and the front end is squatted like the brakes are applied but there not. What could be causing this? The bike had bad brake problems before it was parked but it worked ok in 4x4. Could water gotten into the diffs and messed something up in the diff while my brother had it in deeper water? It doesn't want to shift good in 4x4 like somethings binding keeping it from wanting to shift correcty also. THANKS!!!
