so i just traded my 05 honda 400ex, for a 05 450r. i have only ridden this wheeler once as soon as i brought it home at 11:30 at night. im currently waiting for my nice clean air filter to dry. so i couldnt help but notice that the R is missing the exhaust baffles, and it has the HRC air box vent scoop. the end cap doesnt appear to be ground off on the inside. is there any definate way to tell if it does have th HRC kit in it? the guy i bought it off from said he was the 3rd owner, and bought it from a guy who didnt ride it much. this R starts on the first kick. im not concerned if it has it or not. im worried wether or not it has been rejetted for the open airbox. someone please let me know anything.

 

You can take you spark plug and check the color that can work it see if it needs rejeted black means rich white means lean golden brown perfect. i have to take the tank off my 07 to get the plug off not too bad maybe 1/2 hour total job by myself. Look on the internet there are some websites that will show pics of spark plug so you can get a idea.
