Hey Scooter86,
What did you mean by Laz's ??? What is the advantage of having a long travel A-arms? When dealing with the LTR 450 what tire sizes do you recommend? I plan on getting both quads ready over the winter break. Thanks

Lazarus Sommers is the owner of GT Thunder. Most guys are running 20" rears, and then 21 or 22" fronts. I would stay with the same size difference between front and rear as stock for set up/ride height purposes. Long travel gives the shock tuner more to play with. The shocks can be valved softer than stock yet offer same/better bottoming resistance for instance. The stock Zuk already has a pretty good front end setup with a lot of travel. I am not totally convinced LT is necessary on some of these new 450's for scrambles, the LT-R being one of them.

Default went from 400 to 450

Hey josh i just upgraded from my 07 400ex to a 05 450r, and im telling you it makes a world of difference. My front A-arms are +2 on each side, with fully adjsutable shocks from ishocks and i also widend the rear two inches. I was told when i bought the quad the previous owner he had had the rear spring sent out and setup for a rider of 190 lbs. The diffrence from the two quads is night and day. Its kinda like driving in a old school cadillac, it just floats around turns, and goes right when u give it gas. ITs definitly the better option for your son. I have the trintiy stage 4 exhaust, rev box, and i never have to go outta third gear anywere i ride, let alone get in it.
