i just bought a honda foreman 400 did not run had low compression replaced rings still wont run but has good compression now checking in to timing problems backfires out carb and blows exhaust out as well how do i replace timing chain we pulled cover off and looked very complicated

 

You will have to pull the motor and pull the side case off and disassemble the top end. its probably a four to five hour job when its said and done and some of the gears you pull out are timed so watch for allignment dots.
