100 octane

$7.50/gallon never smelled so good! But that's about all you will get unless you're tuned for it.
I usually run a half tank of it in my quad and street bike at the beginning of each riding season. I feel it helps clean out the fuel system. Especially with both of them being carb'd.

100 octane gasoline burns slower. Like Docturbo said, unless you have a high compression piston etc....no need for it.
I run 97 octane fuel in my 97 Ford truck because it pings like heck on 87 octane. Always has since I bought it.
Save the extra money and instead purchase some Seafoam to run through the fuel system to help keep it clean.

? How so? Not that I'm arguing or anything just didn't think Octane was a detergent or cleaning substance.

Take a cup of regular gasoline and let it evap over time. See all the varnish at the bottom of the jar. Now do it with race gas. There will be nothing or next to nothing in the bottom of the jar.
I agree with the smell. Not much that smells better than burned TRICK coming out of the pipe of a well tuned engine!!!
Hmmmmmmmmmmm maybe that's my problem???

I am not sure how it works with modern fuel injected engines which are mostly now designed to run on regular 87, but my carb'd motors love it.
Just remember, do not run it in anything with catalytic converters! So don't put it in your car!
