Default dumb 350 rancher sparkplug question

I changed the sparkplug on a rancher i bought the other day and the one i took out did not have the screw on tip on it. It was the factory plug by the way.

My question is, is the cap froze in the wire and i just can see it or did it fall off without me knowing or is it not supposed to be on there to start with?

Thanks

to be more clear and maybe easier to understand. When you put a new plug in a honda rancher do you leave the threads exposed on the spark plug and not screw on the threaded tip that comes in the spark plug box?

depending on your model, you would either leave it off, or screw it on. some atvs don't use the screw on tip. If your wire fits too loose without the screw on tip, then try screwing it on.
