I need to tow this atv but when i do the engine turn over like once and then stops . it almost starts with recoil start so i think if i could tow it it would start but cannnot get engine to engage and turn over any ideas

 

What do you mean it stops?
Could be lots of things but sounds like a clutch problem to me.
What gear you trying to tow it in?

 

If you are asking how to tow start an ATV then that's pretty easy. If it has a manual transmission with an automatic clutch, left the shift lever into the up position and pull. (The transmission won't shift into first gear until the lever is moved into the lower position completing the shift.) Once you think you have enough speed to start it, move your foot so the gear shifter will move to the lower position completing the shift. The atv will then be in gear and should start, if it's going to.
