I tried to start only got a metalic click from Starter solenoid. I then tried to cross the posts of the solenoid it only sparked what next?

 

I had the same problem and it turned out to be a dry cell in the battery which really messed me up because i had 12.6 volt output from battery.
Called local honda dealer and they said it was the battery ( which I didn't believe at the time) so I got a new battery and it fired right up..hope this helps
