Working on a friends 88 250x. It has the kick start only. Its not getting fire at the plug right now. Using a test light, I'm getting voltage coming out the stator. Tracing the wire to the regulator, I get voltage at it but nothing coming out of it. There a way to test it? I will test the coil tomorrow when I get the meter from work.
