Default Carb Help!

Hey guys,

I'm a newby here to the site. Need some help w/ my "07" Honda Recon (TRX 250). Did a stream crossing over the weekend and was too deep. Water got into my airbox and into the engine, oil was like milk. I did 4 oil changes, cleaned and gap checked the plug and dried out the airbox and filter.
Engine fires up, no problem and idles smooth. No electrical probs or shifter probs either. When I start to give it gas though, the engine bogs down and then stalls out every time. I think it's something w/ the carb. Any ideas.....? Thanks so much!

Basically man there isn't an in depth process to do this. Like the man said above take the bowl off and you can flush it.

1- take carb off
2-take off bowl
3-spray the hell out off it with some carb cleaner, every nook and cranny mainly jets
4-when you put it back together/ on the quad, make sure you dont get any dirt/grime into the carb

P.S. When you take the bowl off of the carb ,pull straight out and dont play with the float. (you wouldn't want to regap the float as this proccess can be a pain in the ballz) When you look in there and see water beads every were, you allready will have the satisfaction of knowing thats the problem

Take your time and dont get rammy

good luck to ya chief

Hey fellas. Took the carb bowl off. Sure enough, there was water and some sludge sitting in there. Cleaned it and flushed it w/ gas and the jets too. All back together and running strong again. Actually runs a little smoother in my opinion and revs up nice. Thanks again for your help!
