2005 honda trx 400 ex

when i shift into 2nd gear it makes a funny noise like grinding what is causing that do i need to replace the gear or is it something esle

Does it grind going into gear? While it is in gear?
Does it stay in gear and nor pop out?

ive noticed that to on mine, doesnt seem to cause any problems its just a noise whenever i up shift.

the 2005's had a tranny recall so you may want to take your vin into your dealer to check for it. if it hasnt been done they'll fix it for free.
