Going to install the DMC full exhaust and I was wondering what everyone else uses for a main jet? I'm not going to buy a K&N power kit or anything like that. I just want to put the system on, change the main and ride. Oh, and you DMC owners, have you been happy with it?

the dmc was great for me...... it pulls so much harder through every gear... and it also works great with healily modded engines... i have a 165 but i am getting a 160... its a lil rich... go with 158 or 160.. the 400 needs to run lean to run right... you cant tell proper jetting my plug color on the 400... 158 or 160 would be great..hope i helped..

01 400EX yellow, DMC Double Barrel Full Exhaust.

 

I run a 155 main and 40 pilot jet and raised the needle one notch and played with the airscrew to get it right.I like the pipe it pulls hard. The only problem i had was it melted a spot on my boots. So i got some header wrap from jegs. The more heat you keep in the pipe the more it flows.

 

Does the DMC stick out alot more than the stocker? Can't get a guard for the pipe?

 

The pipe dosent stick out that far but its not coverd by anything.You can either get some header wrap like i did or James Lucky sells some heat shields you can clamp on.
