Unhappy 1 more thing, 300ex light

I have been looking EVERYWHERE for an alternate light souce/ light cover for an 05 300ex. I dont want to take off the stock headlight b/c of the neutral/reverse lights on top of the big ugly single headlight,
I'd like to find another nice compact llight to replace it with, Or maybe a cover for the light..

thanks boys

I looked for years when my son rode a 300ex, what everyone was doing is popping a couple holes in the top tank plastic side panels for the rev and neut. light, and mounting either dual lights or a big single on aftermarket bars. Of course, then you need to get the mounting plate for the ignition, some of those plates come with holes for the 2 dash lights, makes it look a lot nicer than mounted by the tank. It will cost you to replace the bar and lights, but it does look nicer on the ones I've seen.

TACTICAL-

After a corner of my headlight lens on my 1994 TRX300EX got broken out, I was able to use clear packing tape to cover the hole in the clear lens, and then I found a set of aftermarket off-road lights (cheap ones from walmart) that had a grill/guard piece for the lense of the light. Well, it turned out it was almost the exact same size as the TRX headlight, and I was able to take the light apart and mount the guard piece to the front of the TRX light with four zipties and some small holes drilled in the guard and the TRX light housing. It worked great, and with the guard in place, the clear tape never got damaged so the light stayed air/water tight. I didn't expect it to work so well, but years later when I sold the TRX, the repair and light guard were still there and still looked and worked good

They looked very similar to these guards
