i am in the market for a four wheeler and i was wonder which is the best 250r, banshee, or quadracer. what is the most bang for my buck

 

Whichever one you pick is gonna be the best, just like the rest of us.

 

can you tell us a bit more like where will you be riding/using this bike for? what are your future plans such as mods?

 

mainly silver lake sand dunes and the orv trails. as for mods it depends on how much $$ i have at the time and how fast it already is.

 

for sand dunes, the Banshee is still the king...but it is NOT a great trail or MX choice.

For everything else, the 250R will be your best choice as far as 2-stroke racers go.

Is there a specific reason your narrowing your search to old 2-strokes?

 

because i can get more bang for my buck usualy and i can rebuild the engine my self. were a 4 stroke i cant. but if u know a good 4 stroke for what im looking for im willing to here about it

 

If ya, have the time, patience and know how to rebuild a two-stroke you should be able to handle a four-stroke. I personally wouldn't consider a 2-stroke. I've dealt with them before and while fun to ride, just a pain in the **** everywhere else. The 'shee has TERRIBLE suspension. It's like the old hoopty you see driving down main that bounces for 6 blocks after hitting a speed bump...except it has a drag engine under the hood. And Fouling plugs on the 2-strokes is VERY upsetting and can ruin your day.

We used to make anyone with a 2-stroke ride in the back because we if we got hit with one more thrown rock there was going to be a brawl.

The 700r is fighting the 'shee for king of the dunes and the 450's own MX and XC. Do some reading and check out the options. Shee's are a dime a dozen, and 250R's are hard to come by. They ruled their day but, their day is ending. : \

 

On a propery tuned 2 stroke plugs will not foul, having said that most 2 strokes aren't tuned to their most efficient potential.
